Japanese cloisonne' enamel vase decorated with a pair of quails and flowers, one is scratching his head, signed under the silver base with the mark of Tamura III 田村 (Ota Yukio), Showa Period c.1945.
The quail 鶉 (uzura) is symbolic of the Autumn season, and also of courage and victory in battle.
