Japanese silver casket modelled as a Goshoguruma (Heian carriage used by the Imperial family or the highest aristocrats), the gilt roof panels decorated with ho-o birds a mythical phoenix symbol of the Imperial household, the front panel doors open to reveal the interior box with drawers, marked Ginsei 銀製 (pure silver), Taisho Period.

This piece would have probably been commissioned by an aristocratic family for an important family wedding gift.
